Johnson has a deep understanding of the deaf community as he grew up with deaf relatives, his drive stems from his martial arts teacher who was deaf as well.

Sonwaro worked with Children of Fire by volunteering and engaging with the kids, guiding and empowering them in order to overcome their low self-esteem. We did so by training 8 children with coffee-making skills. Children of Fire International is a charity based in Johannesburg, South Africa that assists badly burnt children with reconstructive surgery and other post-trauma rehabilitation. The organization also promotes legislation and legal assistance for children who are disabled through burn injuries.

They are from KZN, they came to Johannesburg in search of jobs and they got involved in wrong dealings and ended up on the streets. Sonwaro believes in second chances. We have empowered them with coffee skills and hope to find them employment.
