Sonwaro worked with Children of Fire by volunteering and engaging with the kids, guiding and empowering them in order to overcome their low self-esteem. We did so by training 8 children with coffee-making skills. Children of Fire International is a charity based in Johannesburg, South Africa that assists badly burnt children with reconstructive surgery and other post-trauma rehabilitation. The organization also promotes legislation and legal assistance for children who are disabled through burn injuries.
Sonwaro prides itself on serving the community on all frontiers. A token of appreciation was presented from SA defense force for the free services offered by Sonwaro during operation Notlela as their efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 throughout the national Lockdown.
Despite the effects of COVID-19 rendering business non-operational for Sonwaro, the team from Sonwaro committed themselves to serve the military stationed at various roadblocks with premium roast coffee from as early as 3 am daily.
